This is the best wild blueberry season I’ve ever witnessed. The only one that came even close was about 13 years ago and it was nothing like this. I’ve made blueberry buckle, blueberry-peach cobbler and blueberry turnovers. We’ve also just eaten a lot of blueberries. Evelyn likes to sit on the ground next to you while you pick and pick her own berries, which go straight into her mouth. Yet she won’t touch domestic/high-bush/grocery store blueberries. She knows what’s good.
Unfortunately, the season has come to an end. Now we’re onto raspberries.
