Today we went on the maple farm tour put on by our local high school and their FFA.  I think the kids do a really a good job.  They have a modern syrup production facility, but also have a demonstration cauldron.  Did you know that they used to hang pork fat over the syrup?  The fat dripped into the syrup and kept the foam down.

We live in a village with an Agway feed store less than a quarter of a mile from our house.

I sent Evelyn away yesterday, in hopes that I would get this baby out soon.  It didn’t work.  So today I finished hemming curtains and took some pictures of my hugely pregnant belly.

We live across the street from a cemetery.  It amazes me that the stones here, many of which are less than 100 years old, are in far worse shape than the stones in the old overgrown cemetery in Arnos Vale in Bristol.

It got up to 60°F today and we spent 4 hours outside playing in the mud.
